A Little Mojo and More...

Good Morning Everyone!

Well, I didn't quite make it back yesterday with my Mojo Monday sketch and that was because it just took too much time to make the card. Way too much considering the outcome. Have you ever made a card and then finished it and thought, "why on earth did that take me so long to do?" That was definitely the case yesterday. I almost chucked the whole thing and said forget it; but I'm happy with the final result, so I'm glad I didn't do that.
Anyways, I started with Taken with Teal for my base and added a layer of Barely Banana, which I stamped with my "Fine Lace" Background stamp in Garden Green ink. Next came the strip of Wild Wasabi paper with a strip of Tangerine Tango double stripe ribbon. I layered Tangerine Tango, Banana, and Teal again for the main flower image, which is from the "Garden Whimsy" set. I punched out a scallop circle in Wasabi and added the sentiment "Wishing You The Best" from the retired hostess set "Riveting". I added the prima flower with a bit of Turquoise ribbon and finished the card.
I did the next card this morning, while all the kids were gone at school/play group. It's really simple and doesn't bear a lot of explaining. I used Pumpkin Pie, Always Artichoke, Mustard, Saffron, and Bravo Burgundy as my color palette for this one. I stamped the peaches from "Fruit Stand" on watercolor paper and then used markers, ink pads and my aqua painters to color it in. The sentiment is from the new hostess set "Goody Goody Gumdrops"
Well, that's all for me today. Be sure to check out all the other Mojo Monday entries, and have a great day!

Wow, 2 creations! Fabulous! I like how you distressed the paper on the tulip. Very pretty! Like the color combo!
