Good Morning Everyone!
I hope you are all having a great start to your day! I’m so glad you’re taking a moment to visit with me! Today’s card is for a Mojo Monday sketch. I haven’t done one of these in SUCH a long time! I was sad to hear Julee closed the Verve Shop last year. Many of my favorite stamp sets are from Verve and I continue to use many of them frequently. (Having said that, I did go with a stamp set from Simon Says Stamp for this one, however.)
This sketch was fun and easy to work with. I decided to break out some patterned paper for this as well. I don’t use it very often but it definitely makes the card easy to put together! I just pulled some pieces from my stash that seemed to go together.
The stamp set from Simon Says Stamp is “What’s Brewing” and it came as part of a stamping kit of the month a couple (?) of years ago. I stamped the mug from the set and then colored it with Copic Markers (E09, E19, E84, E87, E29) I stamped the “hello” sentiment in SSS dark chocolate ink and then I fussy cut it out and added it to the mug. I stamped the other sentiment in red ink (honestly...don’t remember which one) I die cut some circles, blended some ink over them for a little added color and interest. I layered the card as shown and finally added two small sequins in the corner of the small patterned paper piece and finished the card!
That is it for me today! Have a great one, and I will see you all again soon!

Mojo Monday: Coffee and Friends
Hi Everyone!
I am so thankful that I brought my Nook and keyboard to my son's doctor appointment today since they are running 2 hours behind!! I mean, seriously...how ridiculous is that?!
Well, at least I can be productive and blog a little. This is my card for yesterday's Mojo Monday sketch. This sketch was super fun to play with because it was easy and worked well with pattern papers. I could definitely see myself using it again. Oh and hopefully you can tell that the picture quality has improved a bit too. I finally found a place with some decent lighting and a good "on the go" photo editing app. I think the results turned out rather well, if I do say so myself!
I added lots of distressing and inking to the edges of the panels in hopes to make it warmer and inviting which is the feel I was going for especially considering that I will be giving this card to a friend along with some coffee and some chocolates.
I also found some fun challenges for this card:
1. Anything Goes Challenge: Anything goes (optional Coffee Break theme)
2. Loves Rubber Stamps Challenge: Anything Goes
3 Papertake Weekly: Anything Goes

New Verve Mojo
Good Morning!
I got some new Verve stamps the other day and I couldn't wait to play with them! What better thing to do use them for than this week's Mojo Monday Sketch! I'll admit, the slanted panels threw me a little bit; but I think I mastered them pretty well. I used Verve's Sunny Days, the Graph Paper Plain Jane, and Where Flowers Bloom. I also used the Leafy Springs Cut above Die. This was my first time using the Verve Dies and I have to tell ya...they are AWESOME!! So easy and so fun to use.
The patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Collection: Madison Avenue. This papers are so pretty and easy to use. I coordinated it with some dark brown, Blushing Bride, Kraft and Vintage Cream card stocks. I distressed the edge of the card with some Walnut Stain Distress ink. The "buttons" in the center of two of the flowers are stamps from the Sunny Days collection that I added a couple of layers of Crystal Effects to make them shiny.
Anyhow, so lots of fun playing with my new Verve! I ordered a ton of stuff, so don't be surprised to see lots of Verve Creations this week!!
A few challenges for this card:

Make it Monday: Anything Goes
Kaboodle Doodles: Layers

Kindness Mojo
Hi Everyone!
Well, I have thoroughly been enjoying my first week of all the kids being in school! I'm sure many of you can relate to that. I have just been wandering around leisurely between Starbucks, Barnes and Noble and the crafting stores! I know it's been a couple of days since I've posted a card, so I wanted to go ahead and share something with you before the
Anyhow, on to the card. I started with a Vintage Cream base and added the layers as shown. The green is a mellow moss type green I had in my stash, then the Aqua Mist which I punched using my Fiskar's April Lace punch. Don't ask how I got the corners to work out that way...I really have no idea; but I was ecstatic when it did!! I used the Swirls embossing folder before adding to the green background. The pattern paper is from DCWV "Linen Closet" mat stack. I cut a small piece of Aqua Mist using the Label 11 Nestabilities and then stamped the sentiment from SU's "Whimsical Words" set with Mellow Moss ink and rounded the corners. The circles at the bottom were cut using Petite scalloped circle nestabilities and then I added the Prima flowers and brad.
I was unsure at first how I would like the thread wrapped around; but I wanted to say as true to the Mojo Monday sketch as possible. In the end, I think I rather like how it creates a uniformed diagonal line across the center of the card with the sentiment and the flower.
Ok, so that's all for me for the moment! Have a great day and thank you so much for spending some of your time with me!

Easel Mojo Thank-You
Usually, when I read the challenges over at "Feline Playful", I'll see a challenge for a card with a unique fold such as an Easel Card or Gate-Fold card etc; but it never fails that when I sit down to work on it, I completely forget that I'm supposed to do it, until after I've already made a regular style card. Well, this one I was determined not to forget. I really like doing Easel cards. They are not nearly as difficult as they first appear; but I did have to watch a video over at SCS for a quick refresher.
For the front of the card I used the Mojo Monday sketch as my inspiration. I coordinated the colors around the pattern papers from the "Hopscotch" collection from Basic Grey. I used Cameo Coral, Sage Shadow, Blushing Bride, Dark Brown and Kraft. The flower and circle image at the bottom is a combination of images from OCL's "Fabulous Florals" and SU's "Circle Circus" I took a close up picture of the front of the card in order to show the
embossing I did with the "Bloom Dots" embossing folder. I also took a side view picture so you can see the Easel Card design.
That's all for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by and spending some time with me. Have a great day and I'll see you all tomorrow!

Thank You for 200 Mojo Mondays!
Hi Everyone!
I'm sorry about not posting yesterday. I was very busy doing crafty things and just never quite got around to being able to get stuff posted. I am working on a special project that I will be sharing with you, hopefully later this week. I also did this card for this week's Mojo Monday sketch. Can you believe this is sketch #200 for Mojo! WOW! Mojo Monday is one of my favorite site challenges. I love the sketches and all the amazing inspiration from the Design Divas each week. I decided to make a Thank You card and am dedicating it to Julee and the rest of the team for always doing such a fabulous job each week!
This card using a Rose Red, Pink and Celery Green color palette, along with some scrap DSP paper that I found. I stamped the background with the Inkadinkado Polka Dot background stamp and embossed it with clear powder I used Verve Stamps "Sweet Treats" for this card. I stamped the image in Celery ink, added the sentiment in Rose Red to the center and then cut it out and adhered it to a mat cut with Label 11 Nestabilities. I used Petite Scallop Circle Nestabilities for the Rose Red mat behind the DSP circle. I added a slightly larger circle behind it as well. Finally, I added the ribbon and the bow and the two pink eyelets to complete the card.
I am entering this card for the following challenges:
Deep Ocean Challenge: Ribbons
Everybody Art Challenge: Dots
Kaboodle Doodles Challenge: Embossing
Make it Monday: Anything Goes
Mojo Monday: Sketch
Simon Says Stamp and show some: Embossing
Crafty Ann's: Embossing

Sea Shells by the Seashore
Now before I get to today's card, I wanted to just chat a bit about my blog. Hopefully, if you are a follower you can see that I have made some changes and added a few new things over on the side bar. I encourage you to take a little look and do some exploring. This is, and always will be, my stamping/paper crafting blog; but I just thought I'd give everyone a little glimpse into other things I do and enjoy, such as reading and reviewing great books (and sometimes not so great) I've read. My twitter feed is a great way to get to know more about me as well! You'll also see that I've put a little widget on here for the "Networked Blogs" You'll also see that I currently am the only one following my blog....sad but true at the moment! This is a new feature for me that I added because I've seen it on other blogs. If you are a "Network Blog" member and feel so inclined to follow me, I would be ever so grateful.
Ok, so I'm linking today's card to a TON of challenges (well, at least a ton for me!) I really want to have time to explore the other wonderful creations out there, so I'm going to let the challenges fill in the details of the card.

Just a little Thank You Mojo
Hello Crafting World!
How are you all today? It is looking to be another very very hot day here in San Antonio. I do so wish it would rain, it is so dry and everything is just dead. It's awful! They say we might get some tomorrow; but I'm not holding my breath!
So, yesterday was one of those guilty pleasure days for me! I crafted and watched Netflix pretty much all day and it was FABULOUS!! I just started watching the show "Saving Grace" I had never had a chance to watch it when it was on TNT; but I am enjoying it now!
Ok, well I know you're not here to listen me to babble on about my TV addiction! Now, as you can see my card for today is fairly simple; but it took me Forever to do because I just took my time and enjoyed doing it, which is also why I didn't get a chance to post it yesterday.
I used Ocean Tide, Summer Sun, Aqua Mist, and an olive green type paper that just matched! So, here are the challenges for this card:
1. Mojo Monday: Sketch
2. Bows and Berries: thank you or appreciation cards
3. Make it Monday: Anything Goes
4. There She Goes: Use 3 different stamp sets. I used Inkadinkado Polka Dot background stamp which I embossed with clear embossing powder, Hero Arts "Everyday Sayings" for the sentiment which I embossed with white powder and Verve's "Up, Up and Away" which I colored with various Copic Markers (BG10, Y35, YG03)
5. Creative Inspirations Challenge: Stitching. I did real stitching around the Summer Sun piece and faux stitching with my white pen around the Ocean Tide base of the card.
6. Pile it On: Show some Metal. I added four gold brads to the balloon stamp.
7. Quirky Crafts: Recipe Box. I chose the "Embossing" "Four brads" and " a stamped image" for my three squares.
Ok, so that's all for me today. I'm off to link up my card and visit a few blogs before I do some more productive things for the day, even though they won't be nearly as fun!! Enjoy your day everyone and I'll see you tomorrow or Wednesday.

Some Hopscotch Mojo

Hello!
No, there is no need to adjust your screen, I really am here posting a card today! This is for yesterday's Mojo Monday sketch. I saw the sketch posted and I really rather liked it, so I thought I'd dust off the ol' Fiskars cutter and see what I could come up with. All in all, not too shabby if I do say so myself!
I used Fine Linen and Enchanted Evening from PTI for my card stock base colors and then used patterned papers from BG's Hopscotch 6x6 pad. The balloons are from Verve's "Up, Up and Away" set. I stamped them as well as paper piecing them. As you can see, I moved the ribbon in the sketch to the bottom of the card and put the sentiment up a little higher. No challenges for this card, trying to still get back into the crafting groove.
Bye for now!

There's No One Like You
Hi Everyone!
Here is my card for yesterday's Mojo Monday. I really liked this sketch. It was easy to work with and I was very surprised how quickly my card came together. I used a softer color palette for this card, combining Kraft, Harvest Gold, Fine Linen with Perfect Plum and Pale Plum. These soft colors remind me of spring! I stamped the "Flower Pattern" Cling stamp from Hero Arts with Versa Mark ink and stamped it on the Pale Plum background piece. I embossed the flower from SU's "Fifth Ave Floral" with gold embossing powder and then used Copic Markers (Vo1, V12, V15, V17) to fill it in. I used Y11 around the edges to give it a little bit of a "glow". The Harvest Gold piece was embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder and then I paper pierced the edges of the Fine Linen piece in the center.
I was rather pleased with the final results of this card and I hope you like it too! I will enter this card into the following challenges:
1. Mojo Monday: Sketch 187
2. Cupcake Craft Challenge: Lots of Layers
3. Woodware USA: Die Cuts and Punches

Mojo Monday Love for Mom
Hi Everyone!
I hope you all had a very nice weekend. Mine was good, quite and relaxing; but still good! I sent everyone back to school this morning and got to work on my card for this week's Mojo Monday. I know a lot of people are doing Easter cards right now; but I am trying to plan ahead for a couple of card drives that I am doing, so I decided to a Mother's Day card instead. This whole card centered around the fact that I wanted to use that orange sparkly brad (from Basic Grey's hopscotch collection) Often times I will buy accessories such as these to go with
paper and then I forget that I have them and before I know it, I have no more paper and all these accessories! Anyhow I used Enchanted Evening, Really Rust, Sage Shadow and Melon Berry for my color palette along with the patterned paper from Basic Grey. I used Label 11 Nestabilities for the focal image in the bottom. The "Love" and "You" are from Our Craft Lounge, stamped in Sage Shadow ink The "MOM" alphabet stamps are from Martha Stewart
stamped with Not Quite Navy ink.
I tried for about 20 minutes to find a ribbon with a bow that I could tie that I liked under the flower on the side like it is in the sketch;but I just couldn't, so I decided instead to go with some small rhinestones which would complement the ones in the center of the Orange brad.
Just a few challenges for this card:
Mojo Monday: Sketch 186
My Partner in Crafting Crime: Layer it up (at least 3 layers)
Make it Monday: Anything Goes
Before I go, I just wanted to invite you to take a look at my other blog "Interpretations of This Crazy Life" I finally got a chance to update it last night after a shamefully long absence in posting. I would love any comments and feedback you might have on my "Finding Zen: Part I (The Body) post.
Have a great evening!

Hot Betty and Some Vervalicious Coffee
Wow! What a busy weekend. Tyler placed 4th in his very first gymnastics competition on Saturday. I was so very proud of him!! Then Church on Sunday, lunch at B&N with the kids and then the afternoon outside playing. I had a bit of time here and there to do a bit of crafting; but have just now finally had a chance to get my cards photographed and posted this afternoon. My first card is for Friday's Our Craft Lounge Challenge #55. This challenge this time was to CASE another OCL card and then recreate another card using a different OCL set. I chose this card by Croppixie because I loved the layout and the white space around the image. I used pattern papers from Me and My Big Ideas, Cameo Coral, and Sweet Blush for this card. I used OCL's "Hot Betty" set and colored her with Copic Markers. This card was very simple and lots of fun to put together. I am entering this card into the following challenges:
1. OCL55--CASE Challenge
2. Simply Create: Power of Flowers
3. Aly's Sunday Challenge: Anything Goes
4. GingerLoft Challenge: Use those Flowers
5. Crazy Challenge: Lovely Ladies
My second card is for today's Mojo Monday sketch. I love the fact that I have Verve Stamps to use now to do my Mojo Cards. I have to admit, when I first saw the sketch for this week I was really scared. It looked quite intimidating; but I decided to give it a good go ahead anyway. I was pleasantly surprised when I started working on it, that it all came together rather easily. I started with a piece of Dark Chocolate and then used pattern papers from "Hopscotch" collection from Basic Grey. I used Verve's Delightful and Delicious stamp set. The sentiment in the midd

Laugh a Little
I've was up very very early this morning....like ridiculously early! My phone dinged at 3:45 this morning with a message from my husband. While I'm always glad to hear from him, it did scare the bajeezus out of me! Needless to say the resulting rapid heart beat that followed my awakening made it rather difficult for me to go back to sleep. Only another fellow crafter could understand that I couldn't think of anything else to do except go downstairs and brew some coffee. I sat on the couch for 30 mins and suddenly realized that I had a whole other hour of complete peace and quiet. So what did I do? I crafted. I didn't quite get it all put together until a little while ago; but I made good headway on it and it cut down on my crafting time later.
So, anyhow here are the details for this card. I used Not Quite Navy, Sage Shadow, Melon Berry for my card stock colors. The pattern paper is from Basic Grey "Hopscotch" collection. This is one of my new items I got recently and I am just loving it!! The sentiment is from Hero Arts "Live Life" set (another new addition.)
I am entering my card into the following challenges:
1. Mojo Monday: Sketch 179
2. Incy Wincy: Uses Punches and Dies (I used Petite Circle Nestabilities, and Threading water punch by Fiskars)
3. Lexi Creations: Flowers
4. Stamp with Fun: 3 papers, 3 flowers, ribbon

Sweet Baby
Hi Everyone!
So here I am in stamping, crafty heaven once again. I must make a disclaimer here: I am going to miss my husband and worry about him every single second that he is gone; but I must confess one tiny little thing. I have to admit that it is going to be nice to be able to stamp and blog at my leisure instead of having to make sure it's all done before the kids get home or before it's time for dinner etc. I normally don't do any sort of crafting or computer work in the evening because I always like to spend my time with James watching TV, reading etc. Now, however since I'm sitting on the couch all alone after the kids go to bed, I have plenty of time. I think that's why even though I got this card done yesterday, I've just been a bit lazy about getting it blogged and linked up to the challenges I want to participate in. Also, life does sometimes happen so I had all the intentions of doing it yesterday; but alas did not quite get it done.
Anyhow, here are the challenges and details for today's card:
1. Bunny Zoe Crafts: Flowers
2. Crafty Your Passion: Pink
3. Die Cut Dreams: Baby Girl Card. (I was so happy to have something other than a Valentine's Day or challenge to do...)
4. Incy Wincy: Use 2 different color mediums. (I stamped the sentiment with ink and then used versa mark and chalk for the green butterfly)
5. Mojo Monday: Sketch 178
6. Totally Stampalicious, Alys Challenge, I Did it Creations: All Bling it up challenges. I used some pink and green rhinestone squares and some glitter around the sentiment and in the butterfly as well.
7. Woodware USA: Embossing.
8. One Stitch at a Time: Make it Pretty
9. Paper Sundaes: Pick at least 2 of the featured toppings. (I chose flowers and pink)

Follow Your Heart Mojo
Hi Everyone! Here is my card for yesterday's Mojo Moday sketch. This sketch was super easy and I decided to use pattern papers to help it come together fairly quickly. The papers are from Cosmo Cricket's "Wanted" 6 x6 pad. I paired them with Chocolate Chip, Sage Shadow and some beige paper. The sentiment is from Whimsical Words (SU)
I know this is a pathetically small post; but I don't know really how much more can be said about this one! LOL!!
I scrolled the list of challenges over at Feline Playful and found that this card fits a couple of current challenges:
1. Mojo Monday: sketch
2. Stamp Fairy: Circles
3. Woodware USA: Anything goes
4. Craft your Passion: Use 2 pattern papers

Cheers to You
Hi Everyone!I hope you all enjoyed your day off yesterday, if you were lucky enough to have it off. Mine was good, except for the fact that both the boys are sick and consequently are home again today. Ah well, the joys of motherhood!
I made this card very quickly this morning for yesterday's Mojo Monday sketch. I used Simply Chartreuse, Taken with Teal, some beige and white paper for my solid card stock colors. The pattern paper is from DCWV "Linen Closet". I decided to use my much neglected "Happy Birthday" embossing folder. The sentiment in the circle is from an old SU sale-a-bration set that I can not remember the name of. LOL!
So, super simple card. Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy the rest of your day and I'll be back tomorrow!

I hope everyone had a very nice weekend. Ours was good. I have been quite busy studying for my recertification exam for teaching. Oh my Goodness, it's so much material to know! I did finally take a break from all the reading this morning to make this card. This is for today's Mojo Monday sketch as well as for Friday's OCL color challenge to use Kraft, Red and Black.
I chose "Coastal Wishes" from OCL as my stamp set, and I stamped in on Gina K Luxury White card stock and colored it in with a few Copic Markers. It's a simple easy card and I hope you like it. Ok, back to the books! I'll be back to share some more in a couple of days. Happy stamping everyone!

Happy New Year!!
Hi Everyone!
I hope you all had a fabulous holiday season. Mine was quite nice with lots of traveling and family and friends. I am very happy to have things back to normal, though! I decided to jump right back into stamping this morning with Mojo Monday. Now, I was rather disappointed when I scanned this card, because the Melon Berry that I used looks more pink than the orange tone that it really has. I could have used the camera; but I didn't....so this will just have to do. I use Kraft, Choc Chip, Ruby Red, Melon Berry and patterned papers from Cosmo Cricket "Wanted" 6x6 pad. The flower die cut sticker is from K&Company Wild Saffron Flowers.
Finally, I added the sentiment at the bottom from Upsy Daisy with Chestnut Roan ink.
Anyhow, so just getting back into the groove of things. Have a great day!

Hi There
Hi Everyone!Didn't get a chance to post my card for Mojo Monday yesterday, so here it is. I actually kept it quite simple since I didn't start working on it until late in the afternoon. I'm also using this for my entry into the Color Throwdown from this past week. I'm a bit behind on that, I'm afraid. I have been trying to switch from SU papers to PTI paper and as such I don't have any of the new colors, so I used the ones I could match most closely. I chose, Kraft, Pure Poppy, Blueberry Sky and Orange Zest. I also decided to use some flowers as my focal image, instead of stamping.
For this week, I am going to be focusing on embossing, and today I used 2 Cuttlebug embossing folders, Floral Fantasy and
Swiss Dots. I opted to leave out the bow at the top of the square because I thought it just competed too much with the flowers in the middle. The card is very simple and came together quickly. I hope you like it!

Taking a New Direction
Oh my word, it has been almost a whole week since I've shared anything with all of you. I have actually been very busy crafting and stamping but not doing a lot of blogging. I began to think about why that was and was actually surprised to realize that I just didn't want to blog at all! So I took a little time for reflection and discovered that I had begun to think of blogging as a job (that I'm not getting paid for!) instead of a fun past time. I suspect that this is in large part to do with challenge chasing. Everyday, I read all the challenge lists and pick and choose the ones I think I can do and then create a card for it. Next comes the uploading and the linking to the various challenges and then commenting on as many cards as I can, in hopes of getting some traffic back to my blog with some comments as well. I realized that I was spending
upwards of 2-3 hours everyday just doing that and that my card creating had become about doing what was appropriate for all the particular challenges instead of tapping into my own creativity.
So, I'm going to change things up a bit. I'm going to go back to participating in the standard daily challenges I participated in when I first started blogging a few years ago. That's right, one challenge per day, that is all!
I also thought it would be fun to focus on a particular theme or product each week and make my own challenge to create something around that each day. To start things off, this week I will be focusing on patterned paper. I got some pattern papers from Two Peas over this past weekend and I couldn't wait to dive right into them. The first card I am sharing today is for yesterday's Mojo Monday 163 sketch challenge. This sketch was perfect for being able to showcase some pattern paper since the image panel was small. I chose Not Quite Navy from SU as my base and then added a piece of paper from my new Crate Paper "Restoration" mini deck. The papers in this collection are gorgeous and they are double sided as well. The piece of gray around the image panel is just the other side of the floral paper. I matted it with a Regal Rose and then added a piece Vanilla. At the top of the image panel I put a piece of Basic Grey's Kraft Ribbon Doilies. I stamped the circle in the middle from Little Yellow Bicycle's "Zinnia" Collection with Regal Rose ink. The sentiment at the bottom is also from the same set and I stamped it with Charcoal Grey Fluid Chalk ink by Color Box.
Have a good day everyone!
