I hope you all had a great weekend. Ours was good, we did some shopping to get our boys ready for baseball season. It's my favorite sport to watch them play so I'm super excited; but I won't lie...I'm also ready for it to warm up a bit. This under 50 degrees with wind gusts of over 45mph is NOT nice baseball weather!
Anyhow, I decided to play with my "Beautiful Day" from Altenew. I love the complex realistic look you get by layering these flowers. I tried to do a bit of making again as you can see; but for some reason, I kept getting a white space between the leaves and the flower, especially on the bottom flower. I'm not sure why that is, so if anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to comment and let me know!
I find that when I use this set, I often spend a lot of time trying to figure out what layers of colors to use for the flower. To help this, I decided to make a sheet of possible combinations for a quicker reference. I'm sure I'll add some more in the future; but for now, I thought this was a good starting point. I took a picture of it and decided to share it here. I hope you find it useful as well. The ink colors are listed in order that I stamped it, so 1 is the bottom layer; 2 the second and so on.
That is all for me today. Thank you for stopping by and visiting with me. Have a wonderful day; and I'll be back on Wednesday.
