I hope you have all had a great week; and if not well, TGIF, right?! It has been a rainy week here in Iowa, so not a lot of fun playing outside, unfortunately. On a good note, the tulips in my front yard have been getting a nice healthy drink!
So to end the week here on the blog, I have a nice spring card to share with you. For this card, I started with PTI New Leaf for my base. For the striped panel, I used my Basic Stripes from Clearly Besotted and alternated stamping the stripes in Simon Says Stamp Coral Reef and Maliblue ink. I added the sentiment from Hero Arts Everyday Sayings. This has to be one of my most used sets and anybody I know that has it, would totally agree. Once a year I usually purge my craft supplies, getting rid of things I don't really use any more; but I know I will NEVER get rid of this set. BEST $15 ever spent! Once I stamped the sentiment, I was at a bit of a loss for what to do on that striped panel. I knew that I didn't want to do another sentiment and I didn't really have an image that fit the size or design that I wanted to use. In the end, I decided to keep it really simple, and I just added the three prima flowers with button centers. I added some May Arts Natural Twine for a bit of interest and then some dashed white lines to the coral stripes for final embellishments.
That is all for me today. If you get a chance, stop back by tomorrow. I intend to start Saturday Morning Coffee Cafe again. If you don't know what that is, you can view a previous post. I hope you enjoy it.
Have a great day, enjoy your weekend and thanks for visiting with me!
