I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was good and productive, so that's always a good thing! Now it's a rainy Monday here and a perfect day to stay inside and do a little crafting, which I will get to a little later, hopefully!
I have another card to share with you today using Papertrey Ink's "Brushed Off" stamp set. I love the versatility of this set and how easy it is to create a rustic feel to your card. For my color palette, I chose Neenah Dessert Storm as my base and cut it to 4 1/4 x 11 and folded it to create a side fold horizontal card. I stamped a piece of Neenah Solar White Card Stock with the alternating large and small brush stamps in Abandoned Coral, Seedless Preserves, Evergreen Bough and Scattered Straw Distress Inks.
I swiped that same Scattered Straw ink pad across some more white card stock to create the top strip
across the stamped card stock and then repeated the same process with Seedless Preserves ink with the top layer, using my scalloped edge punch before adhering it together. I stamped the "Thinking of You" from Hero Arts in Abandoned Coral and the secondary sentiment below it is from Papertrey Ink's "Words of Comfort" set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Some dashed white lines and some white embroidery floss were the final simple touches to finish the card. I also used my We R Memory Keepers corner rounder to round the top right corner.
Since the message of the card is intended to be either a sympathy card or words of comfort message, I didn't want to add any sparkle or glitzy embellishments to it.
I was really pleased with how this card turned out. I love the color combination with the Kraft and white. I hope you like it as well.
That is all for me today. Enjoy the rest of your Monday, and I will see you again on Wednesday!
