Hugs: The Best Remedy

Hi Everyone!

We've reached the half way point of the week and we're that much closer to the weekend, Yay!! I hope you're all having a good week so far.

Today's card is a fairly simple design because really wanted the focus to be on the sentiment. Isn't it just so true? Hugs can fix anything! It feels great to get a hug and to give a hug. I mean really...you just can't go wrong when it comes to hugs!

I wanted some cheerful colors to go with my "Hugs" card today, so I chose SSS Island Blue, Sea Glass and Doll Pink.  From PTI, I chose Sweet Blush and New Leaf. I embossed the Sea Glass piece with Geometric Rings Cuttlebug Embossing Folder and then layered the pieces as shown. I die cut the Sweet Blush and New Leaf pieces using SSS Stitched Rectangle Dies and then stamped the sentiment from SSS Best Hugs in Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn Distress inks  I added the heart from that same set and applied some Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen over it. I rounded the corners and completed the card with some faux white stitches around the edges of the Doll Pink piece.

Have a great day; and I'll see you all again on Friday!

Love the texture and the colors on this card. The solid geometric pieces create a great visual effect.
