Our Creative Corner: Emboss Resist

Hi Everyone!

Normally I don't post on the weekend; but I saw this challenge over at Our Creative Corner and decided to do it. My next techniques class is going to focus on embossing and one of the things I want to do is emboss resist, so this challenge helped me to come with an idea for that. I always try to keep the projects I do for my classes very simple. One because of time and second, because many of the people who come have limited stamping experience, and I don't want to overwhelm anyone.
I started with Taken with Teal base and then added the Celery piece. I stamped the small swirl from "Priceless" at the top and bottom and then added the sentiment. I stamped the small flowers in versamark ink on the top and bottom of the Teal piece. I used the emboss resist technique on the flowers on the vertical piece. After I embossed the flowers with Clear powder, I brayered Almost Amethyst ink over it. I sponge some Lavender Lace ink around three of the edges and then added the brads to the middle of the flowers.
Thanks for looking! Have a great weekend.

Such a cute card! I love this technique, although I always forget about it. I might have to ink up the old brayer tonight.
Thanks for sharing!
