A Bright Mojo

Good Afternoon!

I hope you all have had a great Monday. Mine has been very relaxing and nice. I enjoyed a Pumpkin Spice Latte and a Scone at Barnes and Noble this morning and then came home and enjoyed some peace and quiet before going to pick up Jonathan from pre-school. I didn't get started on my card for this week's Mojo Monday until early this afternoon, thus the lateness in posting it. This card is a bit out of my comfort zone as it uses such bright colors; but it's good to stretch the creative boundaries a bit from time to time, isn't it? I started with a Summer Sun base and then added a layer of bright green (not SU). I ran a strip of Pink Passion through my CB with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. The Gable Green strip across the middle is stamped with the swirls stamp from the retired SU basic background set. The two scallop circles in the middle were cut from my scallop circle Nestabilities. The cupcake image and the sentiment are from Inkadinkado "Birthday Cupcake" set. I used a variety of markers, pencils and crayons to color it in.
I also got a chance to participate in a few, (not all) of the SCS challenges for World Card Making Day on Saturday. Those cards are posted in my SCS gallery. If you get a chance, stop by and check them out, I'd love to know what you think.
Have a great evening everyone!
