Color Inspiration #30.

Good Morning Everyone!

Wow! I can't believe that there have been 30 K. Werner Color Inspirations. It's amazing that she just keeps coming up with such great color combos. This week's is not exception. I love the soft and subtle neutralness of this particular combo of Old Olive, Certainly Celery, Sahara Sand and White. I don't have any Sahara Sand, so I try to find an acceptable substitute, which I found in my scrap pile. I thought the inspiration piece was very clean and very simple and I wanted to keep that theme throughout my card. As soon as I saw the flowers in the Duvet in the picture, I knew which stamp set I was going to use. I wish I could remember the name of it; but I don't! Sorry! It's from an old SU Sale-A Bration set. I used Celery as my base and two step stamped the flower stamp across the top and the bottom in Celery ink. I cut two half circles out of the Old Olive piece and wrapped a piece of 5/8 wide grosgrain Old Olive ribbon around it. I stamped the flowers behind the sentiment in Almost Amethyst ink, which is a bit hard to see in the picture. I used Close to Cocoa and Olive for the sentiment in the middle. Three simple brads on the right side complete the card.
I know that the posts have been rather short lately, and I think that's because I've only been doing one card instead of two each day to share with you. I've been working hard on Christmas cards, however. For those of you who make your cards, you know how time consuming that can be. Don't worry, I'll always have at least one card to share! Thanks for visiting with me and have a great day!
