Single Layer Card

Good Morning Everyone!

Before I begin today's post, I just want to say thank you to all of you who take the time to visit and comment on my little creations. I see so many wonderful things when I blurf around the net. There is so much inspiration and I'm often amazed by the things I see, so it means a lot to me when others who do much better things I do, take time to say something nice. Thanks!
Ok, well it's early and I'm actually posting already, yay!! Well, that's only because I'm posting something that I actually made earlier in the week. I'm not sure that I'll have time to stamp today and I was actually thinking that I may work on some layouts today instead. This card is so incredibly simple. I was inspired by K. Werner's single layer card that she did for this week's MACM. I have to say it was really hard to not put another layer of color on there. The key to doing single layer cards is finding the paper and ink that go well together. After all, ink on colored paper is different than the ink on white paper. Still, I was pleased with the results. I used Sage Shadow with Rose Red, Basic Brown. The stamps are Circle Circus and the Jumbo Outline Alphabet. I used water color crayons and aqua painters to fill in the letters. So there you have it, easy peasy for today. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Great job on this card. I've never done a single layer card, so that would be a huge challenge for me. but you did it and did it very well!
