"Hello Friend"...I'm Back!!

Hi!

It's so good to be back! Vacation was a lot of fun and we had a great time visiting family; but as you all know it's always great to be home. We have officially settled in here in Rhode Island and my stamping supplies are unpacked and ready to go. I have to tell you though, my house doesn't have any AC and the humidity is horrible here! It's not that hot, so the kids are able to spend most of the day outside, which is fantastic! However, it doesn't do much for my stamping supplies, especially my paper, which just sort of wilts and warps as soon as I leave it out for more than five minutes!
Anyhow, I hope to be able to visit all my favorite blogs today and see what everyone has been up to. I'm so far behind on everything! I've been trying to catch up on my Kwerner videos that I missed over the last couple of months. Speaking of Kristina, I was able to visit an Archivers store in Omaha, NE while I was on vacation and it was really cool seeing a lot of the things that she uses. I bought all kinds of really great things, including some Thickers by Amercan Crafts, Basic Grey pattern paper, Flora Doodle flowers and buttons, Zinnia stamps by LYB, Hero Arts stamps and other stuff I can't remember. I also got new stuff from SU from the new catalog!
However, I haven't actually used any of it yet! I took a few supplies with me while on vacation because I actually did a workshop for my sister -in law. I played a bit with a few things that I'm going to share with you this week. I hope to get back into the normal routine of challenges next week.
The card I'm sharing today is actually one that I did before I moved and was inspired by a Kwerner video. I loved the idea of doing the inchies out of different pattern paper. I can't tell you how much easier they will be to do now that I have 1" square punch...which I didnt' have when I made this card. I actually didn't do any stamping on this card. The "Hello Friend" is Quickutz letters (yes, I'm still using the old squeeze tool!) and then adhered.
Ok, so that's it for me today. So happy to be back. Leave a comment for me, I'd love to hear from all of you!!
