Peace, Quiet and a little Pizazz

Good Morning,

I have no children in my house this morning! I almost don't know what to do with myself! The boys are at play group and of course, Reagan is at school. I am actually watching GH this morning without having to try to listen to it over "little boy" background noise. Mothers of sons will know this phenomenon well. BTW, we will definitely be having GH chat tomorrow! I have two cards to share with you this morning. The first one is a birthday card using all SU products. I tried a new technique for the butterfly. I rock n-rolled it in buckaroo blue (stamp-off) first and guava ink. Then I used my aqua painter to put water on the stamp before I stamped it on to the paper. The second card uses my new DCWV patterned paper. I'm really enjoying the glitzyness of this paper. I thought the Pomegranate was a great way to make the silver, black and grey pop out. The lighting was bad with the card, so it has a sort of yellowish tint to it. Sorry about that! The recipes for both of these cards are in my SCS gallery. I am going to go back today and try the TLC 171 challenge from SCS yesterday. I didn't have a chance to do it yesterday and wasn't really sure if I wanted to do it either. However, I saw some of the examples of what people did yesterday and have been inspired! Today is also color challenge day on SCS. This week's colors are Blue Bayou, Real Red and Soft Sky. Visit the gallery for great inspiration.
I've added a couple of features to my blog as well, that I wanted to bring to your attention. The first will be obvious at the end of the post...my signature! The second is an email subscription form if you want new updates via email. Scroll down on the right side for more information. I've also added two more blogs to the link list as well. Oodabug Alley and Stamp with Shelly. These are super cute sites and I hope you get a chance to visit them.
Ok, so enough babbling for one day! I'm off to do something creative with the remainder of my free time. Have a great day, and thanks for visiting with me!
