Cupcake Celebration!

Good Morning Everyone!!

So, it's been cloudy and overcast here in San Antonio all morning. It would be positively wonderful if it would actually rain; but I'm not holding my breath!!
I was up early this morning working on this fun card to share with you today. Whenever I see cards that feature a white on white element I always think they are so pretty. I wanted the focus to be on the white parts of the card, so I wanted a simple image to go in the corner. I stamped the cupcake from "
by Inkadinkado. I wanted to put some "frosting" on the cupcake, so I put some Tombow Mono Multi liquid glue in the center of the cupcake and then poured some white embossing powder over it and set it with my heat gun until it crackled and popped a bit and just like magic I had frosting!! I colored the rest of the cupcake with Copic Markers. I thought the frosting was a bit bland looking, so added a bit of confetti with the same Copics. I took an up close picture of the cupcake so you could see the frosting.
I embossed the first white layer with Inkadinkado Polka Dot background stamp with versamark and clear EP. It's hard to see in the picture; but it does add some pretty texture to the card in real life. So, I hope you like this one. Thanks for coming by and sharing part of your day with me!

Summer Time Happy Birthday

Hi!

Just a quick reminder that today is the last day to enter the drawing for my blog candy. Click the picture on the side bar to read all the information. I will be drawing the winner tomorrow morning, so hurry before the chance is gone!

Ok, so for today's card I made a birthday card using more of the papers from My Mind's Eye that I used yesterday. These papers are so versatile because you can make a soft subtle card like I did yesterday or one that has fun summer colors like this one today.

My designed varied slightly from the original OWH sketch because my sentiment panel is a bit larger. I really wanted to use this Happy Birthday sentiment from OCL's "Say it Big" set. I also decided to use the large flowers instead of another stamped image.
