Not a Card Tuesday Week 1: Notepad holder

Hi Everyone!

I am so glad you’ve stopped by for another visit to my blog. It's a new month, so I'm starting a new Tuesday feature. This month, I’ll be doing “Not a Card” Tuesdays. This feature will focus on projects that are, well…not a card!

To start, I have made a simple notepad cover/holder. I am always in search of a piece of paper in my purse for a quick list, or to make quick calculations or whatever. There’s no reason why it can’t be pretty, right?! I bought a packet of 3x5 scratch pads from Wal mart, or maybe it was Staples (honestly, I don’t really remember)

To make the holder, I started with a piece of PTI Berry Sorbet card stock cute to 7 3/8 x 5 ¼
And then scored at 3 1/8, 3 ½, 3 7/8. Fold along the 3 7/8 line and then did a mountain/valley fold for the middle and then adhered the 3 ½ and 3 7/8 pieces together. It’s really hard to explain in words; but easy to figure out when you're actually doing it!

For the front I added a layer of PTI Enchanted Evening, and a layer of Sweet Blush which I embossed with an embossing folder before adding a strip of teal that I punched with a scalloped edge punch. I stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts “Live Life” set in teal ink onto Fine Linen card stock. Finally, I added some dashed white lines around the edge of the Enchanted Evening card stock.

Once it was all put together, I added some scor tape to the back of the note pad and attached it to the inside. There is a way to cut out a slot for a pen; but I opted not to do that.

I hope you all have a fabulous day; and I will see you again tomorrow!
