I'm here just really quickly today to share a card I made for my hubby's birthday which was this past Monday. I wanted to create a fun background with a stencil and some small stamps. I adhered the stencil from Simon Says Stamp to a piece of Neenah white 110lb card stock and then stamped the heart and star in alternative patterns. Then I used my masking pen to cover the stamps so I could daub the distress inks through the circles. A couple of the heart stamps didn't mask well; but that's ok.
For the smaller front panel, I used Terracota Tile card stock from PTI along with Sea Glass, and Smoke from Simon Says Stamp. I cut the two top panels using the Circle Border die from SSS. I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment with black ink and then heat embossed the xoxo sentiment with versamark and white powder. Both sentiments are from Hero Arts "Year Round Sentiments"
Finally, I added a few sequins for a little glitz and shine and a small line of white faux stitching around the inside of the sentiment circle and then the ribbon on the side to finish it all up.
Thank you so much for joining me today! I will be back again tomorrow (or...maybe Sunday) with this week's Coffee Cafe!
