All About YOU! (Simon Says STAMPtember!)

Hi Everyone!

So sorry for the haphazard posting this week! It's been a hectic week complete with an unexpected babysitting day early in the week. It's been a LONG time since I've had to entertain a 4 year old all day! I forgot how mentally exhausting it can be. I'm not quite sure how I managed to get through it 3 times with my own children!
Speaking of my own children, I had one to take to the doctor and then another one home for about a day and a half sick and then there's early release today and no school tomorrow! So, like I said, just a bit of a crazy week.
I did however, get some happy mail on Monday too! My first round of "STAMPtember" supplies from Simon Says Stamp!  I have loved all the ideas I have seen with this "You Matter" set; and I couldn't wait to play with it! I haven't ordered the background set that coordinates with this yet; but I do have the coordinating die and so I wanted to make use of that as well. I got a couple of new ink pads as well in this order (Orange Peel) and (Cobblestone). I decided to pair them with Willow, and Audrey Blue. I used black and white as my neutral and coordinating colors.

I used my Mini MISTI to stamp all the smaller sentiments at one time at the top of the card; and then also used it to stamp directly on the die cut with Cobblestone Ink. I cut an extra die and glued them together for a bit of added dimension to the die cut, as well as adding some Wink of Stella clear glitter pen for extra sparkle

For the two color strips on the side, I took Neenah Solar White (80#) and colored them by pressing the Willow and Audrey Blue ink pads over them. I did the same with the bottom little orange flags using Orange Peel; but I left them a little "splotchy" looking, just for some interest.
I added the die cut hearts from Verve Stamps "From the Heart" die set, covering the larger Willow heart with Wink of Stella and the smaller one with a layer of glossy accents.

I used a cuttlebug embossing folder to add some texture to the white background before adding the main panel with some dimensional adhesive.

That is all for me today! I will try to be back again tomorrow. Don't forget you still have time to link up your card in the very first PCC Challenge: Stamp It! I am loving all the entries that have been linked so far!

Just a quick note, that I have decided to stop listing the supplies at the bottom of each post. It's VERY time consuming and honestly, no one is clicking the links anyhow....
