OCL and CPS Flowers

Good Morning!

Today I am sharing with you my card for the OCL/CPS (Card Positioning Systems) challenge. OCL is sponsoring that particular challenge this week, so be sure to enter for your chance to win something yummy from OCL. The challenge was based on this sketch, which was a snap to work with. Sometimes it's refreshing to just have a simple sketch without a lot of different shapes and elements to it. For my card, I used Melon Berry, Rich Avocado and Scarlett Jewel (PTI) for my color palette. The stamp set, I chose was OCL's Fabulous Florals. I stamped the larger flower on Vanilla paper with Baroque Burgundy (yes it's old old; but it still works) ink pad from SU and cut it out. I also stamped a smaller flower from the same set in Old Olive ink and cut that out as well. I adhered both flowers together onto 2 scallop circles. I put a copper brad in the middle of the whole thing. I used my Stamp-ma-jig to get the Olive swirls positioned the way I wanted them and then I added the flower in the center. I stamped the smallest flowers using Stucco chalk ink from Color Box. The ribbon with the buttons was added to the side and then the faux white stitching lines. Finally I stamped the sentiment, which is from Hero Arts "Thinking of You" with the same Burgundy ink on Vanilla paper.
