Mother and Daughter Crafting Time

Hi Everyone!!

Before I talk about my card, I just want to tell you, in case you aren't aware that OCL is having a fun blog hop with lots of chance to win yummy candy from their brand new holiday release. There are some AMAZING and FUN sets in this collection. I have been lucky, since the last two time OCL has done a blog candy blog hop, I've won a free set! We'll see if the third times a charm! You have until Sunday to complete all the hopping. Good Luck!

Ok, speaking of OCL. I have two cards to share with you today, using my new "Spin Cycle" set that came in the mail yesterday. No, these are not part of the new release, this is a set that was released last year, (I believe) Still, it's new to me and I LOVE it!! I have wanted this set since I bought the original "Hot Betty" set. I think that all the laundry equipment and sayings make Betty the cutest little housewife around.

This card is also for this past weeks Color Throwdown. I haven't been able to do very many of these lately, because I opted not to buy any of the new SU colors; but this one I was able to do! I chose to do a bit larger of a card because I decided to use the Top Note Die and I wanted to be able to show more of the background. The Chocolate Chip base measures 6 1/4 x 4 1/4. I ran a 6 x4 piece of Certainly Celery card stock through the Cuttlebug using my Swiss Dots embossing folder. The Aqua Mist (PTI) and the light blue piece measure 6 1/4 x 1 1/2; and 6 x 1 1/4. I had completely forgotten the Kraft as part of the challenge, so I slipped a little piece of it in there. Red was not part of the challenge, but I thought it was a good complement to the colors. I stamped the images in Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa. The Copics used were E33, E35, E07 (hair, ironing board), E000, E00, E01 (skin), R22, R24 (Apron, laundry, Coffee Mug), G24 (skirt, laundry), B02 (Betty's top and ironing board), Y35, E25,R22, R24, G24 (laundry pile). She was so much fun to play with and I can't wait to use her some more.

Now, the second card is actually one that Reagan made. She saw me crafting with Betty and asked if she could play too. Didn't she do a great job!! She even colored Betty in with Copics. It was fun sharing that time with her. We were in our PJs yesterday until almost 1:00 in the afternoon!!

So,that's all for me today. I'm hoping to do some more crafting later; but may not be able to do until later tomorrow night. Have a great weekend, I'll see ya'll on Monday!!
