You Make the World a Better Place

Hi Everyone!

I hope you had a good weekend. I am here to share a card using the "You Matter" set from Simon Says Stamp. I was just pleased as punch with the way this card turned out. I really like this color combo of Ocean Tide, Simply Chartreuse from PTI along with Surf Blue and Smoke from SSS. For ink colors, I used Cloudy Sky, Lake Shores, and Smoke from SSS and also Broken China and Peeled Paint distress inks. The stripes on the right are from Clearly Besotted "Basic Stripes" set.

I used the direct to paper ink technique with cloudy sky ink and then used the "You" die to cut 5 separate dies before gluing them together to create a faux chipboard element. I paper pierced around the entire edge of the card base. Then I added the layer of the white with the stripes before adding the left layer with foam tape with the layered die. I used my wink of Stella clear glitter pen for a little shine and sparkle on the "You."

I stamped a small heart in Lake Shores ink and then covered it with some glossy accents; and also some stickles along the scalloped smoke edge.

All in all, like I said...rather pleased with this one. I hope you like it also. Have a great day; and I will see you all again tomorrow!
