I hope you're all enjoying your morning so far. Mine has been busy with some administrative duties; but also quiet and peaceful.
I wanted to share this card today that I made using a new stamps set from Papertrey Ink. No doubt you have seen all the adult coloring books out there. They certainly are all the rage at the moment. I know that I have jumped right on the bandwagon too! Coloring was always one of my favorite past times as a child, and I love the fact that I can re-create that calming and peaceful feeling, only this time without the "Looney Tunes" coloring book.
This new coloring craze was the inspiration behind PTI's new "What the Doodle" sets. So far, I believe there are two of these mini sets: a Feather and the Butterfly, which is the one I have and used on today's card.
I stamped the butterfly with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored it in with Copic markers. I cut it out using the coordinating dies that I purchased along with the stamp set.
To me, nothing says Spring like butterflies, so I wanted to choose a color palette that was light and full of Spring colors; and I thought this color inspiration from PTI was perfect. I wanted the butterfly to be the focus of the card, so I just did a simple embossed background and kept the sentiment simple with black ink as well.
That's all for me today. Enjoy the rest of your day, and I hope to see you all again soon!
