Sharing New Creativity, a Small Announcement, and a New Video.

Good morning everyone!

I hope everyone is doing well on this Thursday morning. I finally received my copy of the new SU catalog and I must say, I think it's fabulous. My wish list keeps growing by the minute. You know how it is, every time you look through it, you see things you haven't seen the other 10 times you've look in it! The catalog is available online for viewing. However, be warned the download time is VERY VERY long. I understand that SU is trying to work on that. Still, we all know it's best to have it in your hands to see it anyways, right!? I mean what's better than curling up on the sofa, after the kids go to bed with that nice glass of wine, looking through the new SU catalog. Of course, doing that and watching the Olympic Phenomenon, known as Michael Phelps, just makes the evening that much better! If you are interested in ordering a catalog, send me an email and I'll get one to you right away.
I am sharing a sample that my upline and friend Carol shared with me. This set is called "Together Forever" and is featured in the new catalog. The card also features one of the new in colors: Baja Breeze. Thank you, Carol for sending me this very elegant example.
I am planning to order quite a few things myself here in just a couple of days. I can't wait to get my new stamps and unleash my creativity and share with you. That, however brings me to my small announcement. I've decided to take a blogging break. As many of you know, this is a busy time with school starting and getting everyone back into a normal routine. It's hard to believe that the lazy days of summer are coming to an end; but they are. With a new school year of course comes new activities and schedules as well. It will also give me a chance to get new stamps and goodies and time get the creative juices flowing again and to make new things to share with you. Therefore, I will not be posting again until Sept 8th. Mark you calenders, though...Don't forget about me!
Please remember that I am always available, however for personal emails and anything related to Stampin Up! If you are interested in placing an order from the new catalog or if you have any questions at all, feel free to send me an email.
For all my fellow GH fans...keep watching! I know I will, and by the time I come back, I'm sure I'll have tons of scoop to share with you. I am leaving you with a music video I found on you tube this morning. It has lots of great scenes from the last few month. I hope you enjoy it.
Take care everyone, and I'll be back in September!

I'm here...I'm here! (with new stamps too!)

Hello everyone!

I hope you are all having a fabulous Monday. The day has just flown by. I feel like I've been really busy and I'm not really sure why as I look around my house and still see things that need to be put away, and straightened up. Oh, well it'll all get done I suppose.
So, what is going on in my world lately? Well, the biggest thing has been helping my mom set up her new house and get moved. She's had a lot of fun doing it; but it's definitely also been a lot of work and now I think she's just at the point where she wants it to be done. The house that she bought is brand new construction, which is good because it means she hasn't inherited anyone else's problems and it is really pretty both inside and out. Still, it's very strange to me and to my sisters (and especially for her, I'm sure) to have a house without my Dad. This is the first time EVER in my whole life it's just Mom's house and not Mom and Dad's.
Ok...let's move on to something else before I get weepy and can't finish! Today is the big day for Stampin Up! New catalog is online (I think!) Demonstrators get a complimentary issue. However, I have yet to receive mine...don't ask why, I don't know. I'm about to go nuts not having it. All my fellow stampers will sympathize with the "can't wait to see the new catalog" fever that I'm currently experiencing right now. I don't want to go to the SU website and see the new catalog because I want to see the REAL thing first. Therefore, you will see that I've taken the link off for the catalog here on my blog. I will repost it with the new one no later than Wednesday. (Even if mine hasn't come by then)
I did take advantage of the hostess set pre-order we could do and I bought this adorable little set, called "Serene Spring". It has another stamp and saying with it as well and I will be posting an example with that tomorrow. I am using this card as my Verve Sketch 11 for the Anni-Verve-Sary challenge that Verve Stamps has been having. The details about this card as well as pictures of my others are in my SCS gallery. Tomorrow is the last day to get all your sketches done and uploaded into the SCS gallery. Don't worry if you don't have any Verve stamps...I don't (yet...!)You can still participate. If you do and get them posted by tomorrow, you can be in the running for the grand prize which is all the new sets they are releasing this week (Wednesday to be exact...I think)So get out those stamps and get creative!
That's all for me today. Have a great afternoon and thanks for visiting with me!

I will finish my last one in the morning and get it posted

Just saying hi!

Good evening everyone!

Just checking in really quick with you since I've not posted in a few days. It's been a busy week and a busy weekend. I do have stuff to share with you; but it's 8:30 and I'm just not up to doing all the scanning and editing etc this evening. I've been working a lot on the Verve Stamps Anni-Verve-sary 12 days of sketch challenges and will post some of them tomorrow. I hope everyone has had a good weekend, and I'll be back tomorrow with pictures and other chatter!

In Case you Haven't Heard.....

General Hospital's Max and Milo are getting a Dad. BTW, did you know that those two are brothers in real life. I didn't; but when I read that yesterday, a lot of things made a lot more sense...like why they look so much alike (LOL!) Anyhow, GH has tapped, none other than former Soprano's star Vincent Pastore. (He played "Big Pussy" on the Sopranos) How cool is that? I think he's a perfect cast as their dad. Apparently Mr. Pastore is a big fan of the show and was asked to tape a promo for ABC, and then one thing led to another; and viola! You can read the article and see the promotional video on soapnet.. There's also interesting information about other stars that are fans of GH.
I have been busy stamping the last couple of days. I know, I know, I said I was
taking a break; but you know how these pesky stamping addictions can be! I decided to jump in on the Verve Stamps "Anni-VERVE-sary" celebration. 12 days, 12 sketches and chances for great prizes. If you haven't heard about this, check out the forum on SCS to find out all the information. I've done 4 out of the 6 so far and I am working on the other two this afternoon. I posted the first 2 to my SCS Gallery.

The 3 and 4th are here for you to see. These have been fun sketches to work with and I really hope to be able to complete them all.
Ok, so that's all for me today. Have a great afternoon, and as always, thanks so much for visiting with me!

A New Week

Good Monday Morning everyone!

It's almost lunch time, so the morning is almost gone; but I wanted to get a post in before I got busy with other things this afternoon. I have been busy going through a lot of clothes and toys, trying to get rid of things that nobody wears anymore or uses. I really really hate clutter and disorganization, so when I feel like I'm tripping over stuff every time I turn around, I know it's time to make a trip to the goodwill.
I participated in my first Paper Pretties Pajama Party on Friday evening. It was loads of fun; but definitely fast -paced. An hour to create and post a challenge goes by really fast. I only have one Paper Pretties stamp right now, which is my bunny slippers Sophia. I've posted a lot of stuff with her on my blog lately, so I'm not going to actually put them here; but you can see them in my Paper Pretties Gallery, here and here. I only got two out of three done. By 10:00, I was ready to pack it in and call it a night. Congrats to Stephanie for being named the Cutie Pie. Her work is too precious and it was definitely a well-deserved win.
This card for today is one I made last week. I bought a package of stamps by Autumn Leaves called "Flowers" by Rhonna Farrer. I know, I know, I need more flower stamps right? But I really like these and they are different from the others that I have. The card is pretty self-explanatory. I used Ruby Red, Mustard and Wasabi as my colors.
I am planning to take a week or so off from stamping and concentrate on doing some scrapbooking. I need to work on Reagan's book and I have some other pictures I want to do as well. I'm also going to be busy helping my mom over the next week or so moving and setting up her new house. I may be a bit intermittent about posting during that time. If you check back for a couple of days and don't see anything new, don't worry, I've not gone anywhere. Just keep checking, I won't leave you all hanging for long.
That's it for me right now. Thanks for visiting with me today, have a wonderful afternoon.

Changes, A New Card and I've been Published!

Good afternoon everyone!

Well, I'm here at long last this afternoon. What a crazy morning! Had a doctor's appointment this morning, and grocery shopping this afternoon. I am so glad I already had cards made to share with you today. I don't know if I'll have a chance to do any stamping over the weekend, so I'm only posting one today and will share the rest next week. I used Mellow Moss as my card base and the patterned paper is from Basic Grey. I layered Ruby Red and Groovy Guava and wrapped a piece of Lil Davis Design ribbon. The main image is from Simply Said. I stamped it with black ink on glossy paper and then used sponges to layer Ruby Red, Mellow Moss and Guava Ink.
It's also the first of the month, so as you can see I've changed the template. I think I finally got it the way I want it and I hope that you like it.
It's been a crazy week, so I really haven't done any blog hopping or challenges this week. I am also thinking that I'm going to spend next week working on Reagan's scrapbook. She picked out her album this week, so now I finally have a place to put the pages once they are complete. Although I have ideas for cards rolling around in my head as well!
So, now for my exciting news! I'm please to announce my debut published online article. I wrote an article for Scrapbooking.com for August. I've also written one for next month. It really is exciting to see your name with your work. Click on the link and let me know what you think.
That's all for me, have a great weekend and thanks so much for visiting with me.
